Nenagh Childcare Centre in conjunction with Nenagh Lions Club are raising funds for the provision of a new classroom for afterschool care in the Community Childcare facility behind the Civic Offices on Limerick Road in Nenagh.
A bag packing fundraising drive will take place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th September in Tesco.
Nenagh Childcare Centre is a non-profit organisation caring for 73 children at any one time. All children are welcome and there are subsidised rates for parents on low incomes.
The centre has a number of children with special needs, health service referrals and children of parents returning to work.
The new building will allow the centre to help more families and to provide the afterschool children with a place of their own.
