Dromineer

Dromineer is ten kilometres north-west of Nenagh on Lough Derg; originally this lakeside tourist attraction acted as an important port to the area, but now it is a major tourist attraction with the Canal Company Store surviving from the 1820s, a tower dating right back to the 1500s and a tenth century parish church. Lough Derg Yacht Club, first inaugurated in 1835, is the oldest yacht club in the world and is based at Dromineer.
