In 2016 Youth Work Ireland Tipperary had 274 volunteers giving up their free time every week for the benefit of their communities. The organisation is in the process is carrying out a piece of research into Volunteering in Tipperary. Rural Ireland has experienced enormous changes over the past 20 years and with it the role of the volunteer has also changed. This survey which will take less than 2 minutes to fill (I promise ), is a small part in an overall event that will run in the summer. Some of the topics being explored in the overall research are:

• How has volunteering changed
• Why people Volunteer
• Do young people volunteer enough
• The youth club was often seen as the heart of a community is it still relevant?
• It is easy volunteer  
• Is the diversity in our communities represented in our voluntary organisation
