The Voice Of Ireland 2014 live shows have begun and one of this year’s contestants, Ciara Donnelly , is directly linked to Garrykennedy native & Dublin based music industry entrepreneur, Fionan Ryan.
Fionan currently manages Ciara under his artist management company, Big House Management. Ryan worked with original music acts in his teens, both performing in bands as well as promoting events in Nenagh and the surrounding areas. Upon completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Technology and Production at Limerick institute of Technology he went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Event Management at Fitzwilliam Institute in Dublin. This led to a production role at Aiken Promotions , working at a range of prestigious events such as Live At The Marquee in Cork and The Vodafone Comedy Festival 2012 and 2013 . Fionan has also freelanced for UK based Company, Festival Republic at Electric Picnic & Oxegen 2013.
Since December 2011, Fionan has booked and promoted several Irish tours for acts such as And So I Watch You From Afar (Dolans,Limerick) Fighting with Wire ( The Workman's Club, Dublin), and Axis Of, Rachel Sermanni,and Squarehead (Dolans, Limerick) through Youth of a Nation Promotions, his Irish tour management company. He currently operates Big House Management, an entertainment management company comprised of Youth of a Nation Promotions, The Big House Studios ( Limerick) and Big House Management’s Artist Management Roster.
A rising star within Fionan's Artist Roster, Waterford native Ciara Donnelly takes to the stage this Sunday March 23rd in the live stage of The Voice Of Ireland on RTE 1 television. Ciara is currently the lead singer in a female indie folk outfit, Yellowbridge. The band featured at Whelan’s "Ones to Watch Festival" in 2013 & 2014 and the band was also shortlisted for Hot Press' 'Big Break' for 2013. Their track 'Circus' has been nominated for the IMRO Christie Hennessy Songwriter of The Year Award and has been given airplay by 98fm and digital stations such as RTE 2XM.
Ciara entered the The Voice Of Ireland as a 2FM Wildcard. She was chosen by a panel of 2FM DJ's including Jenny Green, Dan Hegarty & Cormac Battles to represent the station in The Voice of Ireland Blind Auditions. In those auditions, Ciara provoked a 3- way argument between Voice Of Ireland judges Bressie, Jamillia and Kian Egan , with all three making their case as to why Ciara should join their team. In the end, Ciara chose Bressie and went on to the battle stage of the competition. After a sensational performance of the Foo Fighters song " My Hero", Ciara was chosen by Bressie to represent his team in the live stage of The Voice .
