The North Tipperary Sports Partnership Family Fun Cycle took place on Sunday morning over a distance of 7km. Over 200 adults and kids took part in a very enjoyable experience.

Quintins Way was a hub of activity all through the day with market stalls and local food and produce, crafts, entertainment, etc. SPIN SW broadcasted live from the main stage at the race finish line and provided great entertainment for all supporters and spectators.

There were 3 main races on Sunday. The A4 race was run over a distance of 54km and Ciaran Harte (SSCC) got up on the line to beat Hugh Flannery (Visit Nenagh) with Dan Hogan (North Tipp Wheelers) in 3rd.

16 year old Eddie Dunbar (National Development Squad) led for most of the A3 race and came home 1st ahead of James King (NRPT) and Dylan O'Brien (National Development Squad).

The A1 race was the highlight of the day over a gruelling 154km. Timmy Barry (Aquablue) came home in 1st place to retain the title he won last year. Damien Shaw (Aquablue) was 2nd with Paidi O'Brien (Plant Tri) in 3rd. Full results can be viewed here.

Nenagh Town Mayor Lalor McGee addressed the crowd at the presentation ceremony and thanked all involved in making the Visit Nenagh Classic a huge success. These words were echoed by Cllr. Virginia O'Dowd and Race Director Rene van Dam.

The winner of the recent Nenagh.ie facebook competition was Michelle Harty and she was presented with an Ipad Mini before the race presentations.

Breda Fitzgibbon of Breda Fitzgibbon Jewellers and BREO presented 1st prize in the A3 race to Eddie Dunbar. The prestigious Killoran Slate Trophy was presented by Philo Freeman from Killoran Slate to Timmy Barry, winner of the A1 race.

Well done to all involved in making the Visit Nenagh Classic a huge success. We look forward to more of the same in the future.
