FBD INSURANCE TIPPERARY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
Tipperary Co. Board in association with sponsor FBD Insurance were delighted to launch the Tipperary Club Championships in Semple Stadium last Friday. Following months of uncertainty as to whether games would be played at all this year, there was a tremendous sense of relief that action was imminent, albeit in much changed circumstances. County board chairman, John Devane, welcomed Michael Berkery and the staff of FBD present and thanked Michael and FBD for their continued support of Tipperary club championships. Michael in his address acknowledged the great partnership between both organisations and the wonderful leadership the GAA had shown during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Due to Government guidelines, attendances at all outdoor events are curtailed at a maximum of 200, which must include all players and team personnel and match officials. While not ideal, it is a fact of life now as we continue to deal with the Coivd-19 pandemic. With that in mind we appeal to supporters to continue to stay safe and be mindful of those around you as together in our parishes, county and country we strive collectively to emerge from the Covid crisis and the restrictions imposed because of the pandemic.
Apologies to our supporters for any inconvenience caused and we thank you for your co-operation. Please continue to check Tipperary GAA website and social media re updates on ticket arrangement updates for next weekend.

It is important to note that the policy of no ticket – no entry applies and people are asked to please not turn up at a venue without a valid ticket. Every person must be accounted for and have an individual bar code entry for contact tracing purposes, should the need arise. It is vital and crucial that best practice is upheld and the system obeyed and cooperated with.

– Croke Park Club+ Pass

Season ticket holders/pass holders will all get priority for a limited time period each week to obtain a ticket for their selected game once registered. Each Season ticket/pass holder can only attend ONE game per day.
When you are registered there will be a section on the Tipperary website for pass holders where users will login based on their registration details provided and then claim one ticket.
You will need to provide an Email Address, Phone Number and Name for your ticket for contact tracing purposes. Tickets will only scan once a day at the game that ticket is valid for. Tickets scanned twice will appear on the scanner and you will NOT be permitted entry. Please produce your ticket either printed out or on your phone along with your pass at the game to gain entry.
Each club will also receive a consignment of protected tickets which can be purchased by club members.

Finally we encourage you all to share this information as we want to sure that each season ticket/pass holder avails of this opportunity so we can cater for as many people as possible, whilst keeping each other safe at all times.
Now that we are in hours of a return to action the officers of Tipperary Co. Board wish to congratulate all GAA clubs, ladies and men's squads, who were wonderful ambassadors in their communities during the Covid-19 lockdown. Superb stories of fundraising achievements and challenges kept community spirits alive and active for the past 17 weeks or so. Outside of fundraising efforts, clubs and their supporters went on the front line to support the most vulnerable in their community which helped ease the burden of many. While we return to action, that work must continue as the fight against Covid is not over.
21 Tipperary GAA clubs and groups to date, through their fundraising efforts, have raised a combined overall county tally of €134,447.66, congratulations to all on the wonderful amount raised.
The charities benefiting by the fundraising are as follows; St. Vincent de Paul; Community Hospital Thurles; South Tipperary General Hospital; Circle of Friends; St. Martha's Nursing Home & Old Folks Party; Relay for Rory; C.A.R.E. Cancer Support Clonmel; St. Patrick's Hospital, Cashel; Pieta House; St. Conlon's Nursing Home, Nenagh; South Tipperary Hospice; North Tipperary Hospice; Dean Maxwell Nursing Home, Roscrea; Carrick on Suir Meals Assistance Services; Nenagh Day Care Centre; Newport Day Care Centre; Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice; C-SAW (Community Suicide Awareness Workers) and Protective Face Masks by St. Ailbe's School Tipperary Town.
Outside of the above, congratulations also to four of our inter-county referees, Derek O'Mahoney, Fergal Horgan, Kevin Jordan and Sean Lonergan were involved in the Referees Championship Run for Pieta House which has raised €26,556 to date.
Best wishes to all our clubs and juveniles in the Kelloggs GAA Cúl Camps which commence in Tipperary on Monday next, 20th July for six weeks to 28th August. Clubs, parents and especially children can now look forward to some much needed on-field activity. Understandably some clubs have decided not to host a camp in the circumstances, and that is very reasonable. Clubs that are going ahead are once again reminded that they should have in place all protocols around 'Covid-19' for which documentation has now been released to all clubs.

Some important points to note are;
Club coordinators and assistants should complete the 'Covid-19' online awareness course prior to hosting the camp and have certification printed.
'Covid-19' protocols around sanitation, cleansing and signage should be in place
All coaching staff attending camps will have completed a rigorous training program to ensure safe and professional running of camps.
All bookings for camps can ONLY be completed online.
There is NOT a requirement to cap numbers, but clubs can arrange their own requirement with Games Development staff.
Tipperary camps will have a policy whereby members of the hosting club ONLY attend the camp.
There will be strictly NO exchanging of kits
In line with GAA policy clubs are not entitled to run a camp prior to running a Cúl Camp
Clubs who wish to run a camp after completing a Cúl Camp must apply for permission to the County Committee
Games Development staff will continue to liaise directly with camp coordinators. In the meantime for clubs hosting and participants attending we hope you all have an enjoyable and safe camp.
