FBD INSURANCE TIPPERARY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

The final group rounds of the FBD Insurance Tipperary hurling club championships take place this weekend. While some clubs know their fate one way or another, there is still a huge amount to play for and it promises to be a very exciting weekend ahead. Unfortunately, attendances continue to be curtailed but there are, however, three matches streamed live on the Tipperary website and one on TG4, details of how you can view these are highlighted further down. Also, there are quite a number of clubs streaming games on various media channels so please check with your own club to see if they have any arrangements in place.

Again the county CCC would ask all clubs to encourage their players/mentors and supporters, to abide with the regulations in place from the County Board, HSE and Government. You all realise that we are on a knife edge with regards to games progressing due to Covid-19. Your actions could be the difference between our club championships progressing and lock down. Each weekend we are learning from the experience and hopefully improving our systems as we go along. We are also tightening up on our ticketing to ensure it's more efficient and secure.

We hope our clubs and supporters will continue to co-operate with us during these very challenging times for everyone. Spectators should be aware that all the risks posed from Covid-19 cannot be eliminated; including attending GAA games but that essential control measures have been put in place to reduce risks for members.

We must endeavour to take a practical, responsible and common-sense approach to managing risk whilst observing regulations.

Separately, clubs must apply to Co. CCC for permission to video a game for analysis or streaming purposes.

Where Tipperary Co. Board is already streaming a live game, clubs or individuals cannot stream the same game through their own resources.

NEW TIPPERARY GAA CLUBS DRAW

During these final few weeks we will be writing to all the club secretaries with a view to a major drive on enrolling new members into the draw. The Draw Committee are using Social Media to attract the younger generation and with this in mind we are also asking our promoting clubs to focus on this area. With our correspondence to club secretaries we will enclose 20-30 draw brochures and application forms to circulate through their juvenile club for distribution to young parents and mentors. Remember for clubs with up to 200 units the commission increases to 60% for the next 100 and 70% over 300. Following a year where fund-raising in clubs has suffered severely, the Tipperary Clubs Draw is an ideal opportunity to get back on track with this opportunity to secure a major cash injection over the next few weeks. We hope all clubs will take full advantage and give the draw a big boost in your club and county.

KELLOGGS CÚL CAMPS

The Kelloggs Cúl Camps continue next week under the restrictions associated with the Covid-19 pandemic. Congratulations again to Dinny Maher, Games Manager and his team of GDA's, Andy Ryan, Kevin Halley, Tommy Fitzgerald and Paudie Malone and all Cúl Camp coaches for ensuring what clubs were able to facilitate camps this year could do so in the current health crisis.

We send best wishes to the following clubs hosting Cúl Camps in their facilities next week - Loughmore-Castleiney, Ballylooby-Castlegrace, Kilsheelan-Kilcash, Nenagh Éire Óg, Carrick Davins, Moyle Rovers, Grangemockler-Ballyneale and Galtee Rovers.

As this will be the last week of Cúl Camps for 2020, we send congratulations to all clubs once again for hosting camps this year and we hope all the juveniles will learn from their Cúl Camp experiences.

FRIENDS OF TIPPERARY FOOTBALL

The Friends of Tipperary Football continue to promote their new Euro Millions lotto syndicate offering all members 840 chances to win the jackpot for only €20. To join please visit our website www.friendsoftipperaryfootball.com or ask any committee member.

With just over two weeks to go to its commencement everyone who joins the syndicate will be part of a team who will share the winnings from every Euro Millions lotto draw over the duration of the syndicate and who knows, together, we might even hit the jackpot!

All funds raised will go directly towards the preparation of our inter-county teams from under-14 right up to senior as they seek to bring silverware back to the Premier county, in this the centenary year of Bloody Sunday. The effort that the players and management put into representing Tipperary is huge and they deserve all the support that we can give to allow them to reach their potential and achieve their dreams.

The Friends of Tipperary Football Euro Millions lotto syndicate will purchase entries in all the Euro Millions plus lotto draws from September 1, 2020, to April 29, 2021. The winnings with be distributed as per the terms and conditions.
