Walking Across Hot Coals at The Abbey Court
Over 50 souls will be putting the bravest of feet forward in support of some of the most seriously ill people across North Tipperary in a unique Firewalking fundraising event in April. For the first time ever in the county, spectators will be able to see not just a professional Firewalker do his thing but also locals as they line up to walk the hot coals in support of North Tipperary Hospice. The Firewalk will be held at the Abbey Court Hotel at 6.30 for participants and 9.15 for spectators.

Portroe GAA Club are hosting a night of Strictly Come Dancing as a club fundraiser for the coming year in The Abbey Court Hotel on Sunday 6th April. This event promises to be a night of high quality entertainment and craic with club dancers of all ages and ability, both male and female, dusting off their dancing shoes for a night on the floor.
The club will host their parish “Dance Off” which will involve all the participating couples from Portroe facing off against each other for a place in the “Grand Finale”. The club will then have 6 couples progressing to the big night on Easter Sunday night in the Lakeside Hotel Ballina to take on our near neighbours Ballina.
