Seachtain na Gaeilge is an international Irish language festival and one of the biggest celebrations of our native language and culture. The festival gives an opportunity to everyone to enjoy Irish, whether you are a fluent speaker, learner or have a cúpla focal. Fundraiser Canter in Ballycommon in Aid of One in Four
The annual Ballycommon Charity Ride will take place on Sunday 16th March. This year the ride aims to raise money for the One In Four Charity. This year they will have a Puissance (High Wall) Competition with categories for both the Ponies and Horses, which will add great excitement on the morning before all the riders head off on the course of fences. Entry for the Charity Ride is just €60 for Adult and €30 for Children, alternatively you can obtain a sponsorship card by calling 087 2430 546. There will be complimentary snacks for both Riders and Spectators. So get out and support this very worthy cause.

The annual Borrisokane AC 10k and 5k run takes place on Sunday 16th March at 1pm in Borrisokane. Entry for 10k is €15. Entry for 5K is €10 for adults & €5 for u16’s. Special Family rate for 5k of €25 (2 adults & 2 u16′s). There is prizes for the first 6 men and first 6 women, starting at €200. There will also be a €100 bonus if a new course record is attained.

The Nenagh St. Patrick's Day Festival takes place on Monday, March 17th at 2.00pm with floats, marching bands, street entertainment, face painting, clowns, potter workshop, vintage show, motorbike display and Irish Music and Dancing.
There will also be an after parade party on Kenyon Street, all day from 2.00pm to 6.00pm.
