For a real taste of home baking visit Nenagh Country Market which takes place in the New Institute, Friar Street each Friday morning from 8.00am to 1.30pm. Locally produced goods include tarts, cakes, buns, fruit cakes, cheese cakes, lasagnes, quiches, breads, jams & chutneys, free range eggs, chickens and ducks. A wide range of locally grown potatoes and vegetables are also available.

Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie Bag Packing Fundraiser

Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie Club will be bag packing in Dunnes Stores on Friday 18th July to raise funds to help in the running of the club.

Beach Party Weekend at Maximus

Maximus Nightclub are hosting a Beach Party weekend from Friday 18th July to Sunday 20th July. The place will be transformed and lots of fun to be had in the sand including electric surfboard rides. So get on your beach gear and come on in over the weekend.

Ruck & Roll Nenagh Ormond RFC Annual Tag Rugby Festival

Nenagh Ormond RFC invites you to their 3rd Annual Tag Rugby Festival at the club in Lisatunny on Saturday, July 19th.  Another great day of rugby, music and craic!  Teams consist of 12 players (€240 per team) with at least 2 girls on the pitch at all times. There are four groups for each different level of skill and we can guarantee you will enjoy the day whether you are an expert or a complete beginner. After spending the day tagging, stick around and enjoy the night’s entertainment or, if you can’t make the day, come on out and join us for the night. Cocktail bar, Food Village & free parking.

Friends of Tipperary Golf Classic

The Friends of Tipperary Golf Classic will take place in Thurles Golf Club on Saturday July 19th next. The ‘Friends’ classic is one of the great events on the sporting calendar in County Tipperary. It attracts participants from all over the county and indeed from many adjoining counties to the famous Thurles venue. The classic is a major fundraiser for the ‘Friends’ as it continues to support the preparation and promotion of Tipp football teams. Enthusiasm is high in Tipperary football circles right now and the Friends are looking forward to massive support on their big day - July 19th. Fourball team - €120 or tee box for €50. The Nenagh Farmers Market will take place on Saturday 19th July in Quintin’s Way from 10.00am to 3.00pm. An excellent selection of meats, baked produce, cheeses, sweets, fruit, vegetables and eggs will be available on the day.

Promoting Connection 14

Nenagh Against Cancer in conjunction with Maximus and Sounds Like A Plan promotions are preparing for ‘Connection 14’, a family and music fun event to raise money for the North Tipp Hospice Home Care movement taking place in Nenagh on Saturday 26th July. They will be promoting this event on Saturday 19th July on Pearse Street where they will be handing out flyers. Conor Fahy, Animal Beats and Sean McKennedy will be busking from 1pm to 3pm, so please show your support.

Open Day at Fogarty’s Tree Farm and Nurseries

Enjoy a walk among the trees in Fogarty’s Tree Farm and Nurseries on Saturday July 19th from 2.00pm. Situated between Terryglass and Ballinderry close to Lough Derg, there are over 12 hectares of Hardwood Trees, hundreds of species and varying sizes.

Nenagh Walking Club Summer Outing

Nenagh Walking Club’s Summer Outing will take place on Sunday 20th July and will involve a Cycle / Walk. The walk will be 4 -4.50 hrs approx along the Lough Derg Walk from Ballina to Garrykennedy which commences in Garrykennedy at 11.00am for a bus transfer to Ballina. We would advise you to bring walking poles due to steep gradient coming down from Tountinna, good walking boots, drinks & a snack. Please contact Cyril McLoughlin on 086 3721862 for further details as spaces on the bus will be allocated on a first come basis.

There will also be a cycle around d the Lake taking in Garrykennedy, Ballina, Killaloe, Portumna, Puckane, Garrykennedy.  Meet at Garrykennedy at 8.00 a.m.  We welcome Nenagh Wheelers Members who are joining us on this cycle.  Please contact Paddy Seymour on 086 8562444 for further details.

Following both the Cycle & Walk we will have a BBQ at Larkin’s Garrykennedy at 4.00 pm.  All Members are welcome to join us for the BBQ as this is our Annual Summer Social Outing.
