This event will be followed by an 18-hole mixed foursomes competition with a shotgun start at 11am. The competition timesheet is available from the clubhouse bar.

St Joseph’s CBS

The St Joseph’s CBS secondary school parents association are organising a 10K run and 3K walk on Sunday, January 6th. The event is scheduled to start at 2pm, but participants may register from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. The entrance fee is €15 for runners and €5 for walkers. The event will start and finish at Nenagh CBS.

Rugby

Munster are in Rabo Direct Pro 12 action on Saturday (7.30pm) when they host the Cardiff Blues at Musgrave Park while on Sunday (2pm) Nenagh Ormond host UCC in the Munster Junior Cup at New Ormond Park. This promises to be an entertaining affair and the lads would appreciate your support.

Hurling

Eamon O’Shea’s Tipperary hurlers return to action this weekend for the first time since the Premier suffered a harrowing All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Kilkenny in August. On Sunday Tipperary take on UCC in a challenge game in Emly - all proceeds from the event will go towards the re-development of Emly National School.

Art Classes

Art classes for adults will resume at the Pastoral Centre on Church Road from Monday, January 7th (10am to 12 noon) - includes painting, drawing and portfolio preparation for art college if so required. Beginners are very welcome. For further details please contact Richard on 087 963 8976 or email richx@live.ie
