Shane Scully Climbs to Victory

After weeks of nearly there with numerous podium placings , this week it finally jackpot for Visit Nenagh's Shane Scully in Balbriggan. Good preparation last weekend in Ras Connemara, where all Visit Nenagh had an outstanding weekend of racing , paid of for Shane as he was the best of the pack in the uphill finish of the Ben McKenna memorial race. Halfway through the race a 3 man break established , with Shane Scully being the driving force. With Gary Scully and Kevin Moyles protecting the breakaway it was on the cards that Shane was getting his first podium of the year. The bad luck from previous weeks was soon forgotten when Shane passed the finish line as winner, just ahead of Thomas Simons of the Velo team , closely followed by John Dorns (Epic MTB). Gary Scully finished
as 13th while Kevin Moyles , recently upgraded from Cat 4 to Cat 3, finished in 20th position. With just only a week to go, final preparation for the Visit Nenagh Classic will take place this weekend in Stamullen and in Cork.
