Premier Hurling Experience Gathers Further Momentum

Nenagh Councillor Seamus Morris has confirmed that 5 groups consisting of 284 members in total will arrive in Nenagh in the coming months to partake in the "Premier Hurling Experience".

The experience sets out to give the groups a basic knowledge of the ancient sport of hurling and the groups also get to take part in unique hurling drills before taking part in a “Puc Fáda” competition. The group then finish off their hurling experience with a hurley making exhibition by Master Craftsman Phil Bourke. Mr Sports Gift has also come on board to offer his unique personalised sports gifts to the visitors.

The experience was set up by Councillor Morris through his sports tourism initiative and he went on to say "Two of the groups S T A  Kansas and Delbarton are returning to Nenagh for the second time and specifically requested that they stay in Nenagh as part of their tour of Ireland which is a huge boost for the towns ability to sell itself to the outside world. These groups (with the exception of Delbarton) have also booked into the Premier Hurling Experience and Phil Bourkes Hurley making display which is one of the unique selling points for Nenagh on Irish Rugby Tours itinerary with all these Rugby teams experiencing Hurling for the first time and is a huge boost for the sales of Hurleys as the teams go straight down the town to buy Hurleys to try out their new skills".

Councillor Morris would like to thank the people of North Tipperary for making all his guests very welcome in their visits up to now and looks forward to expanding the experience to bring even more people to the town in the future.
