A Pool Lifeguard course will be held in the Nenagh Leisure Centre, Dublin Rd., Nenagh on the following dates:-
Monday April 17th 8am – 6pm
Tuesday April 18th 8am – 2pm *
Wednesday April 19th 8am – 2pm *
Thursday April 20th 8am – 6pm (8am – 1pm) *

The cost of the course will be €350. (* Re-Validation fee €100 applicable to qualified Lifeguards 8am – 2pm). Closing date for applications is Monday 27th March, with a non-refundable deposit of €50.
While it is recommended that applicants have a minimum water safety qualification of Rescue 2 (or equivalent), the course director may, accept uncertified candidates. However these candidates will only be presented for exam if he deems them ready or may defer them to a later exam date.
The course is divided into three units:-
Unit 1 Automated External Defibrillator (PHECC C.F.R.) & Oxygen Therapy
Unit 2 Lifeguarding
Unit 3 Pool Operations
The candidates will be assessed by Logbook Worksheets and a practical exam from an external examiner at the end of the course.
This Pool Lifeguard course is certified by Irish Water Safety (National Governing Body for Lifeguard Standards) and the A.E.D. is Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council Certified and both are internationally recognised.
