A great night of entertainment took place in the Eire Óg Complex last Friday Night 18th January 2013 when 30 Children took to the Stage to participate in our Parish Final for Scor na Bpaistí. The judges on the night were very impressed with the talent that appeared before them. The success of the Night is down to the parents who helped out in any way and who encouraged the children to come forward and participate. Thanks are due to a number of people who gave up their time to guide the children in singing, dancing, music, drama and Question Time. A big Thank you to Shane Connolly and Nikki McCloone who looked after the figure dancers and Olive Kilgannon who took on the "Sean Nos" Dancing (this is a new competition this year). This year we received great help from three young girls who took on the responsibility of Ballad Groups, Instrumental Group and Novelty Act. A big Thank you to Máire Long, Niamh Ryan and Alicia Hallinan. We look forward to even a greater number of participants next year and of course hope to get more help along the way. Our Area Final takes place next Friday Night in Templederry.
