Nenagh Walking Club - Aonach Ar Siúl 24/06/2019

Members please note the following hikes for your information. As the club are now offering a wide variety of hikes on different days, it is important that note is taken of the day, departure time and departure point of the hikes. The schedule can be checked on nenaghwalk.ie.
 
Thursday June 27th, departing Tesco at 10.30 to complete another section of the Hymany Way. Contact Willie 087 6633577.
 
Saturday 29th, Silvermines Rambling festival, see local press and social media for further details.
 
Sunday 30th June is the club's mid summer outing which will be to the Slieve Blooms, walking from Cadamstown via the slieve blooms to Kinnity. Departing Kenyon Street at earlier time of 9am. Walk leader is Willie 087 6633577. The group will gather for meal after the walk for lunch at Kinnity Castle. A bus will also be provided on the day. Bookings before the 24th of June to Cyril 086 3721862. Due to the Munster final there has been a few changes to this day and all members have been notified by email.
 
Tuesday July 2nd will be a trip to Kilcommon to Kilcommon mass path 1.5 hours approximately, meeting in Dolla Eagles nest pub at 7:15. Contact Caitriona 086 8185131.
 
Non-members are welcome to do 3 walks before joining the club, however, we would ask that non members would contact the walk leader prior to the walk to ensure that they have the fitness level required for the walk and discuss walking gear requirement. Likewise any members unsure of hike suitability should ring walk leader before the hike.
 
Membership of the club is €45 which includes membership of Mountaineering Ireland and also covers insurance from November to October. Hiking boots essential for all hill walks. Absolutely no runners.
