Nenagh Walking Club - Aonach Ar Siúl 20/10/2019

Members please note that the membership fee of €50 is now due. In order for members to avail of the full membership year of the club and Mountaineering Ireland which runs from November to October, we would advise all members to have their membership paid by 1st November 2019. Membership can now be paid on line, details on nenaghwalk.ie.

AGM for this year will take place on  7th November in the Hi-B 8pm.

As the club are now offering a wide variety of hikes on different days, it is important that note is taken of the day, departure time and departure point of the hikes.

Every Tuesday night meet at Tesco at 7.30 for a 9km walk around Nenagh By- pass. Further information from  Martin 087 2562454 or Mary 087 2265926.

Thursday 31st October, departing Tesco at 9am for a hike on the Galtees (weather dependant).  Contact Pat 085 7256650.

The next Sunday walk is November 3rd. Departing Kenyon Street car park at 10am. This will be a town and country walk returning by the Nenagh riverside remembering the deceased members of the club.  It will be a gentle 3 hour ramble with a touch of history on the Mercy Sisters who arrived to Nenagh on June 20th 1854. Suitable for all. Contact Willie 087 6633577.

Non-members are welcome to do 3 walks before joining the club, however, we would ask that non members would contact the walk leader prior to the walk to ensure that they have the fitness level required for the walk and discuss walking gear requirement. Likewise any members unsure of hike suitability should ring walk leader before the hike. Hiking boots essential for all hill walks. Absolutely no runners.
