Nenagh Walking Club - Aonach Ar Siúl 12/09/2019

Members please note that the membership fee of €50 is now due. In order for members to avail of the full membership year of the club and Mountaineering Ireland which runs from November to October, we would advise all members to have their membership paid as soon as possible. Membership can now be paid on line, details on nenaghwalk.ie.

As the club are now offering a wide variety of hikes on different days, it is important that note is taken of the day, departure time and departure point of the hikes.

Every Tuesday night meet at Tesco at 7.30 for a 9km walk around Nenagh By- pass. Further information from  Martin 087 2562454 or Mary 087 2265926.

The next Sunday walk is December 15th. Departing Kenyon Street car park at 11am (note start time) for a walk around Templederry hills taking in Ballincurra and Knockadigeen, this will be along gravel paths, low gradient C walk with just one sharp incline. Contact Donal 087 6841795 (note change of leader from previously advertised).

Also watch out for the return of our festival of walks daily from St Stephen's day to New Year's day which are a great success every year. These are the perfect walks to enjoy over the xmas period and especially for people who are thinking about taking up hill walking and joining the club for the new year. Watch out for further details over the next few weeks.

Non-members are welcome to do 3 walks before joining the club, however, we would ask that non members would contact the walk leader prior to the walk to ensure that they have the fitness level required for the walk and discuss walking gear requirement. Likewise any members unsure of hike suitability should ring walk leader before the hike. Hiking boots essential for all hill walks. Absolutely no runners.
