Members please note the following hikes for your information.
As the club are now offering a wide variety of hikes on different days, it is important that note is taken of the day, departure time and departure point of the hikes.
Every Tuesday night meet at Tesco at 7.30 for a 9km walk around Nenagh By- pass. Further information from Martin 087 2562454 or Mary 087 2265926.
Thursday September 12th, departing Tesco at 10.30am for Latteragh.
Please note the following for the trip to Scattery Island on Thursday 19th September. Please book the ferry with Martina 085 2505512 at Scattery Island tours Kilrush quoting Nenagh walking group. Price of ferry ticket is €21. This trip will depart Tesco at 10am and check in for ferry is 12pm to depart at 12.30pm. Return ferry at 5pm. Further information from Willie at 087 6633577.
Weekend of 13th-15th September, will see club members in Donegal for their Autumn walking weekend.
Non-members are welcome to do 3 walks before joining the club, however, we would ask that non members would contact the walk leader prior to the walk to ensure that they have the fitness level required for the walk and discuss walking gear requirement. Likewise any members unsure of hike suitability should ring walk leader before the hike.
Membership of the club is €50 which includes membership of Mountaineering Ireland and also covers insurance from November to October. Hiking boots essential for all hill walks. Absolutely no runners.
