Brothers Michael and Phillip Kennedy were the winners of the weekend 14-hole fourball going around in four under par while father and son combination of Collwyn and Paddy Martin were six under gross to take second prize. Tony Scroope and Kevin Nealon secured third place with a four under round.

Senior Retired Open
The Senior Retired Open singles will be held every Friday for the winter from 10am to 12 noon. It will be over 14 holes from the green markers and €5 for members and €10 for guests.
Winter League Fixtures
The Winter League gets under way on Saturday, December 22nd.
The fixtures are - Group 1: Eamon Callanan v Gerry Robinson 10am-10.30am; Gary Howard v Paddy Kennedy 10.30am-11am; David McGrath v Pat Foley 11am; 11.30am. Group 2: Tony Tierney v Liam Sheedy 11.30am-12 noon; Michael Corcoran v Paul Malone 12-12.30pm; Eddie Scanlan v George Hayes 12.30pm-1pm.
The following are the dates for the Poker Classic at the club for the season: Friday, January 25th at 8pm; Friday, February 22nd at 8pm. Entry fee €20 (including refreshments).
Mary R Ryan and Eamon Callanan invite all members to the Captains’ Drive-In on Sunday, January 6th at 10.30am. This will be followed by an 18-hole mixed foursomes competition with shotgun start at 11am. Timesheet available in the bar.
Shield and Cups opening rounds: the Jimmy Bruen Shield will be held in Shannon on 11th/12th May; the Pierce Purcell Shield is in Nenagh on 25th/26th May; Irish Mixed Foursomes will be in Dromoland Castle on 15th/16th June; Barton Shield is in Limerick on 22nd/23rd June; Junior Cup will be in Ennis and Rathbane on 29th/30th June; Senior Cup is in Castletroy on 6th/7th July.
