Nenagh Éire Óg Notes 28 November 2022

U21 Hurling

Our U21A semi-final, due to be played on Sunday last, was postponed due to a bereavement in the Kiladangan club. We extend our sympathies to the Coen family and the Kiladangan club on the sad passing of Paddy Coen. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Laochra Gael

Congratulations to Tony Tierney who was honoured with a Laochra Gael GAA award this year - the awards were presented in the Dome in Thurles on Sunday last. This was a great honour for Tony and his family and richly deserved.

Tony hurled for many years with Nenagh Éire Óg and was on the North Final winning senior teams in 1957 and 1964, playing in goals in '57 and midfield in' 64. Tony continued to hurl for the club into the 70s and remained involved over the years as coach/selector to many teams when his playing days were over. He was selector on the North Final winning team of 1992 and remains a great supporter of the club attending many club games. Congratulations to Tony from all in Nenagh Éire Óg.

Reminder that the Nenagh Éire Óg Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at 8pm in the Complex.
