Nenagh Éire Óg Club Notes - 10-03-2020

Senior Hurling

Well done to our senior hurlers who won their opening match of the county league on a 1-14 to 1-13 scoreline against Kilruane MacDonaghs. Adam Healy got the Nenagh goal while Killian Gleeson scored the winning point deep in stoppage time. Best of luck to Dáire Quinn who picked up a knock in the game. The lads now play Portroe on Sunday in Portroe at 11:30am.

Minor Football

Our minor footballers were due to play Borrisokane in the second round of the North championship this weekend but unfortunately this game was postponed. At the time of going to press, we have no details of a refixture.

Junior Football

Training for junior football continues this Saturday in Nenagh College at 5pm on the astro turf. New players are always more than welcome.

Tipperary

Hard luck to Barry Heffernan, Jake Morris and the Tipperary seniors who were beaten by Galway in the final round of the Allianz league. This result ends Tipperary’s interest in the league and the lads will now begin to focus on the championship.

Condolences

The sincere condolences of Nenagh Éire Óg go to the family of the late Joan Butler, Secretary of Tipperary Community Games, to her fellow committee members and her great many friends throughout the county. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.
