Nenagh Eire Og - 26 December 2019

Club Race Day

Our club race day will take place on Sunday next, 29 December, 2019 and it promises to be fun-filled afternoon of good craic, hurling chat and a plenty of racing. A bus will depart from The Dapp Inn and if you want to reserve one of the few remaining places please contact Seamie Cleary, Eddie Sheary or message any of our social media channels.

We look forward to seeing a huge contingent from the town converge on Limerick Racecourse.

Ireland Lights Up

The Ireland Lights Up initiative, in conjunction with the Operation Transformation and Get Ireland Walking has been hugely successfully over the past number of years with over 270 clubs and a total of 65,000 walkers taking part during 2019.

In a bid to walk off the turkey and make exercise more accessible on the darker nights, clubs across the 32 counties are turning on their floodlights and hosting community walking groups during the broadcast period of the hit RTÉ show.

If you would like to participate you are more than welcome to join us in our walks around the town from 7pm to 8pm every Tuesday and Thursday evening from MacDonagh Park, starting 7th January.

For further information please contact organiser Bartley Ryan.

Tipperary

Hard luck to Barry Heffernan and the Tipperary senior hurlers who were defeated by Limerick in the Munster league on Friday evening, 2-22 to 1-17. Barry played a fine game at centre-half back.

Munster GAA and Central Council Grant

Everyone in the club were ecstatic recently to learn of the news of a generous grant of €30,000 from Munster GAA and Central Council. This money will go towards the development of our new grounds at Streame.
