Nenagh Arts Centre is presenting a day of portrait painting and drawing in the atmospheric surrounding of the theatre on Saturday 8th February. The day will be split into two sessions of portrait painting, with tuition at hand from a professional tutor. This workshop is perfect for those familiar with figure painting and those who would like to try it for the first time.
The day runs from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m. and there will be a sitter available for those taking part. All attending should look to bring canvases, paper, paints, brushes, pencils and other painting and drawing tools as well as a support such as an easel for painting on. Admission is €25 and places are strictly limited.
Manager at the Arts Centre, Brendan Maher said this week: “we are looking to develop more classes with an emphasis on visual arts in the Centre and we hope that this Portrait Painting Day will be of interest to a broad range of people – beginners and those more accomplished.”
