Musical Weekend at Nenagh Arts Centre

Coming to Nenagh Arts Centre this weekend is Bansha singer Louise Morrissey and English singer-songwriter David Gray.

Louise will be presenting an exciting and varied Christmas show on Saturday, December 7th , which goes under the seasonal title of ‘A Country Christmas’ and will feature guests including Crystal Swing, Gary Gamble and The Ryan Turner Band.
Morrissey has long been one of Ireland’s most beloved entertainers and has brought her easy listening country style around the world with her. With numerous awards and citations to her credit including a 2011 ‘Sunday World Award’ where she was given the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.  Tickets are selling fast for the show and can be had from the Arts Centre in the Town Hall, Banba Square at 067 34400 or online at www.nenagharts.com.  Tickets are priced at €20 and the show takes place at 8 p.m., on Saturday 7th December.

The following night, Sunday the 8th of December, taking a break from mixing his forthcoming album to play an early winter tour in Ireland, David Gray plays an intimate show at Nenagh Arts Centre. Gray is presenting some new songs on this tour which is taking in a limited number of venues across the country.

Tracks such as ‘This Year's Love’, ‘Late Night Radio’, ‘The One I Love", ‘Babylon’, ‘Please Forgive Me’ and ‘Sail Away’ have already entered  the canon of great songs and Gray’s career has been one of extraordinary highs following his breakthrough with the ‘White Ladder’ album which sold over 100,000 copies here in Ireland.

The concert at the Arts Centre on December 8th is already sold out, owing to interest from David’s large fan-base. Patrons should go to www.davidgray.ie for further tour details.
