Indie Fest Award for Nenagh Film ‘Trampoline’

Nenagh film 'Trampoline' was honoured at the Indie Fest Film Festival in LA on Tuesday 5th November when actress Aoife Spratt won the award for Best Leading Actress in a Feature Film.

'Trampoline', which was written and directed by 26 year old Nenagh native Tom Ryan, follows a young woman named Angie (played by Aoife Spratt) who moves back to her local town in Tipperary after she is offered a job teaching at her old school, forcing her to reconnect with her old friends and broken family. While struggling to get her personal life in order she also comes to the difficult realization that she is not cut out for a career as teacher, and must try to figure out the next step in her life.

When contacted by Nenagh.ie, 'Trampoline' Director Tom Ryan had this to say, "I am incredibly proud of Aoife for winning her award. To be announced as the 'Best Leading Actress' out of hundreds of films submitted to the Indie Fest Film Festival in LA is a huge achievement and this is surely the start of big things for Aoife and her career going forward. She is an incredibly talented actress and we are all thrilled for her".

Tom went on to add, "The movie will be screened in New York this Friday, November 22nd which we are all really excited about and we were also interviewed on TV on Ponc ag na Movies on TG4. We hope to continue our festival run over the next few months and we are currently in talks to have the film screened in Nenagh soon."
