“Good Vibrations” to affect Nenagh Arts Centre

The acclaimed Irish film ‘Good Vibrations’ recounting the career of Belfast-based record label owner Terri Hooley, comes to Nenagh Arts Centre on Thursday,  the 21st of November.

Hooley is a radical, rebel and music-lover in Belfast during the 1970’s troubles. While his city is destroyed around him and his friends take up arms on each side of the conflict, Terri opens a record shop on the most bombed half-mile in Europe, and calls it ‘Good Vibrations’. Through it he discovers a compelling voice of resistance in the city's underground punk scenes. Galvanising the young musicians into action, he becomes the unlikely leader of a motley band of kids and punks who join him in his mission to create a new community, an alternative Ulster - to bring Belfast back to life.

The film screens at 8 pm, Thursday 21st November. Admission is €8 and tickets can be had online at www.nenagharts.com or on the door
