Borrisoleigh Gathering Festival

Borrisoleigh Gathering Festival is set to take place on  Oct 4th, 5th & 6th. Over the past several weeks a busy team of volunteers have been working away on organising the festival. It is sure to provide a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors alike to experience all that is great in Borrisoleigh. Whether you are a current resident, a visitor from overseas or living in any part of Ireland, you are guaranteed to have a fantastic time. Enjoy some local drama in the town hall and enjoy music and dancing on the streets. Bring the kids to the family fun day. Take a trip down memory lane with an historical walking tour of the town. Enjoy the wonderful views and fresh mountain air on a guided walk of the Devil”s Bit Mountain. Meet Ireland”s Stongest Man! Test your ability to score a goal on Tipperary Goalkeeper Brendan Cummins. Try your hand (or feet!) at Sean Nos Dancing. View and buy a large sample of local food and craft products. Welcome the Team of “63!

Friday 4th
8pm – Official opening by special guest in Marian Hall.
Borrisoleigh Drama Group – Spreading the news

Saturday 5th
11am 3 hr. walk of Devils Bit loop
11am Sean Nós Dancing work shop
12pm Craft Fair in Square
2:30pm Down memory lane / historical walk around the streets of Borrisoleigh
8:30pm Variety Concert in Square

Sunday 6th
12pm-4pm Busking Competition
1pm Family Fun Day including bubble soccer, score goals past Brendan Cummins, Ireland's strongest man display, Tug of war, sheaf toss, BBQ and lots more
Local entertainment in Square and celebration honouring the Juvenile North Hurling Champions of 1963.
