Be On Call For Ireland 2020

The HSE are asking all healthcare professionals from every disciplines who are not already working in the public health service to register to be on call for Ireland. The HSE will be creating extra hospital and care beds, which will require extra hands in order to provide the care that is needed.

If you are not a healthcare professional, maybe you are studying to be one, you have other skills to offer or you want to be a volunteer, then you should apply too. If you truly want to make a difference and want to help the medical team, then just register your details online now.

What is coronavirus?

The coronavirus (Covid-19) is a large family of viruses that causes illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East respiratory Syndrome (MERS Cov) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-Cov). The coronavirus is transmitted between animals and human beings.

What are the common symptoms?

The common signs of infection are as follows: respiratory symptoms, fever, dry cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In most severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
