The Nenagh Re-Sessions

A showcase of the some of the best local acts on the circuit at present. Features singer –songwriter James McGrath, acoustic rock from The Masses and more to be announced. This is a great chance to see the youngest gunslingers in town. Prepare to have your socks blown off!

Newtown Harvest Festival

The annual Newtown Harvest Festival takes place on Saturday August 3rd and Sunday August 4th. Local band Ebony will get proceedings underway in the “Sheep Shed” at 10.30pm on Saturday night  with free admission.

On Sunday there will be special offers on all food and drink where all main courses in the Restaurant will be just €10 (€15 for steak).

Nenagh Walking Club Hike in Kilcommon

Our next Sunday outing will be on Sunday 4th August when we travel to Kilcommon for a 2.5-3.00 hour hike along the Pilgrimage Loop route. This hike will be led by Willie Kennedy (085) 7774251.

Muck Off Cross Country Challenge

Muck Off is a new cross country challenge taking place on a scenic 150 acre parkland estate just outside Nenagh in North Tipperary, on Sunday August 4th 2013. The course encompasses one of the most natural venues in the country with rolling hills, streams and water courses along with some stunning woodland overlooking Lough Derg. This event will cater for entrants of all abilities and fitness from semi professional athletes to the novice who wants to challenge themselves both physically and mentally.

As part of the team 5k event, there will be an All Ireland Club challenge competition for the title of ‘Fittest sporting club in the country’ across all sporting disciplines with the winning team being presented with the Muck Off cup.This promises to add that extra edge to the Muck Off event.This would make for a great team bonding exercise or even help in regard to pre-season training and transport and accommodation can be arranged for your team.

North Tipperary Agricultural Show

North Tipperary Agricultural Show is about a family day out, its about meeting your friends and neighbours. It might be the place you will meet an old friend you now only see once a year. Friends congregate to have a drink in the bar or a cup of coffee or an ice-cream if the weather is good! Many Nenagh people return to support the show every Bank Holiday Monday and make sure their holiday back to family in Nenagh is organised around the Show Day. Supporters of this Show have made it one of the longest lasting Shows in Ireland.

While at the show grounds you can also enjoy some of the free entertainment laid on by the Show Committee to thank you and your family for supporting us.
