Job Description:
North Tipperary Development Company – CE Project. Community Employment provides a job in your local community, certified training & development and one-to-one mentoring. Some of the placements available: Environmental Operatives, Childcare Workers, Caretakers, Bus Drivers, Healthcare Assistants, Office Administration, Bookkeepers. Are you eligible for a CE? Would you be interested in gaining 19 ½ hours employment per week in your local community and furthering your educational qualifications? If so, a CE would be a perfect opportunity for you. In general, you should be 21 or over and in receipt of a DSP payment in your own right and for not less than 12 months. Persons aged 18 or over are eligible in certain circumstances. Eligibility criteria and further information on Community Employment available on www.citizensinformation.ie The Importance of Training. Training presents a prime opportunity to expand the knowledge base of all employees, but employers may find development opportunities expensive. Employees also miss out on work while attending training sessions, which may delay the completion of projects. On CE you will receive all mandatory training required by your new employers e.g. Manual Handling, First Aid and Health & Safety at Work. This will give you an advantage over other candidates when applying for a position in the open labour market. There is also funding available to complete appropriate Certified Training, which should further aid you securing employment after CE. Some Courses Available: Reception Skills, IT, Business Management, Finance, Special Purpose Award in Training & Development, Supervisory Management, Communications, Manual Handling, Food Safety & HACCP, First Aid, Infection Prevention Control, Child Protection, Health & Safety in the Workplace, Pesticide Handling & Application, Horticultural Tools, Small Engine Maintenance etc. as well as work placement experience with another employer.
