Mountmellick Credit Union Limited has retained Pro-Activ Management & Associates to facilitate the recruitment and selection of a Credit Union Manager. Mountmellick Credit Union Ltd was founded in 1968 and now serves 7,500 members with a focus on being a high quality provider of a range of services to its members in the community.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced proactive Credit Union Manager reporting to the Board of Directors and assuming overall responsibility for the successful operation of Mountmellick Credit Union, Mountmellick, Co. Laois.
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
Provide overall direction and leadership of the Credit Union, and its employees, including management of staff, office administration, IT systems and all financial and regulatory compliance.
Propose the overall strategy for the services provided by the Credit Union and develop these strategies for agreement by the Board.
Preparation of all financial and management reports for the Board of Directors, Auditors, Bankers and others as required.
Actively marketing and promoting the activities and products of the Credit Union underpinned by an active member customer care focus.
Liaising on all matters pertaining to the Central Bank and Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) and operating in accordance with the standard regulations, policies, practices and procedures including the Credit Union Acts of 1997 and 2012.
Familiarity with the ethos and practice of the Credit Union movement and the associated regulatory framework will be an advantage.
You will hold a relevant 3rd level qualification in business, finance or a related area.
You will have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience within the Credit Union movement or a related financial institution Strong leadership and people management skills coupled with the ability to maintain excellent member relations are a prerequisite for this role. A strong operational understanding of Financial/IT administrative operational systems is required for this role. Experience of dealing with regulatory authorities (Central Bank) or similar is required
