Christmas Tractors Nenagh Parade of Lights Search for Santa
Saturday December 22nd @ 5.30pm
Ballycommon Sponsored Ride along with the Agricultural Contractors of North Tipp, (“Fifty Shades of Hay”), are joining forces to bring this spectacular event to the streets of Nenagh next Saturday evening.This event is proudly supporting the Charity “Embrace Farm”.
Over 30 types of farm machinery are going to be lit up with thousands of Christmas Lights & decorations, where they will be joined by Santa,Mrs Claus & a host of Disney Characters, as they parade through the town of Nenagh.
Our day starts at 2pm where will have musical entertainment outside the Bank of Ireland to get us in the Christmas spirit.
Members of “In Tune for Life Orchestra” will kick off proceedings with an Irish twist to some of your favourite Christmas tunes.
Following that the newly formed choir “Fifty shades of Grey”, under the musical direction of Libby Grey, will sing some Christmas favourites & encourage us to join in the singalong.
Local talented singer & musician Lisa Manning will be joining us to add a bit of class as she continues to entertain us with her amazing voice.
A few surprise guests will be joining in on the fun & if you feel like belting out a tune or two, come & join us,we’d be delighted to see you.
Throughout the afternoon our Disney friends will be on the streets of Nenagh to meet & greet, as well as joining in in the fun.
As 5.30pm approaches, word reaches us that Santa & Mrs Claus are gone missing en route to our Parade.
This is where we will need your help.We’ll be asking all the Children for their help to find Santa & Mrs Claus.
To make matters worse, Rudolf & Santa’s Sleigh has gone missing too & we need to find them as they are a big part of the Parade.
Nenagh Fire Brigade & the local Gardai are called in to assist in the “Search for Santa”.
Rumour has it that Santa & Mrs Claus were spotted in the vicinity of Supermacs Nenagh as Santa is very fond of a burger!!!
Eventually when Santa is found & reunited with his Sleigh our Parade can commence.
The route takes us through Kenyon Street, along Pearse Street & up Kickham Street.
Pearse Street will be closed for the duration of the Parade as the convoy will come to a stop to give everyone the chance to meet Santa & see the Farm Machinery up close.
Also helping Santa through the Parade on his Sleigh will be local Children on their “Christmas Lights Peddle Tractors”.
This will be your chance to take photos with Santa,Mrs Claus & all the Disney Characters, as well as photograph the machinery with all their Christmas Lights.
Of course Santa will have treats for all the Children, so make sure to come & join us for this colourful Christmas event.
The Christmas fun starts at 2pm with our Christmas music & Disney Characters “meet & greet”.
Our “Search for Santa” kicks off at 5.30pm, with the Parade starting at 6pm.
Throughout the day outside Supermacs Pearse Street Nenagh a Trailer Load of Timber will be parked, & we will be selling Raffle Tickets for your chance to win this wonderful prize.Tickets are €2 each or three tickets for €5.
Stalls on the street will be selling Candy Floss,Pop Corn,Hot Chocolate & hand held Kiddies Christmas Lights.
All Proceeds from the day will go the Charity that we are proudly supporting, ” Embrace Farm”, & we would be grateful for your support.
