North Tipperary Mental Health Week – “Shine a Light on Suicide Prevention” – Tuesday 8th Ocotber , 6.45pm

This community event, will take place in Nenagh Arts Centre at 6.45p.m. on Tuesday 8th October to mark World Mental Health Day 2019 in North Tipperary and to build connections and create opportunities to raise awareness of mental health supports and promote community wellbeing in North Tipperary.

In keeping with this year’s World Mental Health Day theme, the event aims to shine a light on suicide prevention. On the night, former Tipperary county hurler, Seamus Hennessy will speak of his own lived experience following the death of a family member by suicide. John McElhinney, Mental Health Ireland’s Development Officer in Tipperary, and Mick Collins, Suicide Resource Officer HSE will also speak at the event.
Refreshments will be available, with an opportunity for those present to speak with any member of the working group and with representative organisations who work and support mental health in the community.

The event is free but places must be booked.

In association with Mental Health Ireland, Tipperary ETB, Tipperary County Council, Connecting for Life – Mid West Office for Suicide Prevention, Silver Arch Family Resource Centre and Aras Folláin.
