King Brian Ború Crowning Re-Enactment in Cashel

To commemorate the millennium of the High King of Cashel the To Crown A King Pageant will take place in Cashel at 2pm on Sunday, April 27^th. The free family event will re-enact the crowning of Brian Ború the High King of Munster at the very spot where he rose to power.

A procession will start at Buckley’s Car Park next to the Cashel Palace Hotel at 2pm and the event will take approximately 2 hours. Funding has been provided to local schools in the Cashel and surrounding areas for construction of some amazing artistic creations for the pageant and hundreds of local children will be involved in the event. This will ensure a colourful, vibrant and youthful portrayal of such an important part of our history.
