Take a break from the Christmas rush with the special afternoon screening of the movie High Society - the classic film featuring Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Grace Kelly will screen at Nenagh Arts Centre at 3pm on Saturday, December 22nd.
Grace Kelly plays Tracy Lord, a holier-than-thou ice goddess who, having been through one marriage to likeable musician CK Dexter Haven (Bing Crosby), is about to enter another with a rather stuffy, boring social climber. Dexter and Mike Connor (Frank Sinatra), a reporter covering the nuptials, help Tracy find her human side and realise whom she really should marry. High Society (1956) is a musical remake of The Philadelphia Story and features classic songs by Cole Porter and a cameo appearance by Louis Armstrong and his band.
This event is presented by the Nenagh Silent Film Festival committee and the Nenagh Arts Centre. Tickets are priced at €7 and will be available on the door. Please phone 067 34400 for any group queries. Wheelchair access is available.
