All Roads Lead to Hospice Night 2015
Come along to Hospice Night 2015 at Reidys, Newtown on next Saturday night July 11th and help raise much needed funds for our local Nenagh Branch of the North Tipperary Hospice.
Our featured sponsor this year is the Overhead Door Company of Ireland Ltd based at Ashley Park, Nenagh. In operation since 1989, the company manufactures, installs and services all types of residential and commercial roller shutter insulated sectional doors throughout the island of Ireland, both north and south. The business is owned by Pat Hayes and family, who have been strong supporters of the Hospice Night over the past fourteen years. To date Pat and his family have donated auction items to the Hospice Night to the value of over 16,000 Euro. Even throughout the recession they have supported our local charity and we are delighted to see the company experience an increase in business over the past year.
To highlight the contribution of the company to Hospice Night over the years, one of our supporters, Tipperary Rose 2015 Alison Brolan, paid a visit to the Overhead Door Company last week (see photo below). Alison is pictured accepting a voucher for this year’s Hospice Night from Michael Cleere, General Manager, for a white garage door, standard panel, 8’x 7’, fully insulated.
Another feature auction item this year is a stunningly delicate, current collection wool and silk pashmina, very kindly provided by Tipperary woman and international designer, Louise Kennedy. Tipp Rose Alison also kindly agreed to model the pashmina for us when she visited Ashley Park during last week (see it in the photo as well).
Hospice Night 2015 promises to be a huge success. To date over 430,000 Euro has been raised from this fantastic annual event. All of the money has stayed in the local area to provide both home and hospice care for people of Nenagh and surrounding areas who are terminally ill with cancer and other illnesses.
Many valuable items will be auctioned this year including the Overhead Door, a four ball Golf Outing at the K Club, weekends away and lots more. With the usual fantastic support from the farming community, lambs, hay, silage, turf and timber will also be auctioned on the night. The Hospice Market will once again provide many items and vouchers for sale - all donated by local businesses. The ‘Buy My Dress and Bag Rail‘ returns this year where new and nearly new designer and high street dresses and bags will be sold at knock down prices! Come early if you want to get the best bargains! Doors open at 8.30 p.m. sharp!
As always, great food will be provided by Bobby Reidy and his staff with much of the produce locally sourced and sponsored.
Get your dancing shoes on as Nenagh Mint Jazz will be providing the late night musical entertainment this year. You won’t want to get off the dance floor when Hughie Mc Grath and the lads are on stage. Local entertainers, Brendan & Teresa O Connor - the well-known “Who’s the Boss “musical duo who regularly perform all over Ireland as well as in the Canary Islands will provide the early entertainment on the night.
Champion Dancers from the Flynn O’ Kane Academy of Irish Dance will also perform for your pleasure on the night.
The Sheep Shed in Reidy’s is the place to be on Saturday Night, July 11th - and all at a cost of only 15 Euro per ticket.
