A group of approximately 12 Tipperary supporters will be cycling to Dublin on Saturday next ahead of the All Ireland on Sunday. One group will leave Nenagh at 9am while another group will leave Thurles at the same time. The Nenagh group will be led out of town by former Tipperary greats Dinny Ryan and Michael Cleary, both significant goal scorers in All Ireland victories over Kilkenny in the past. We will meet in Roscrea and cycle together to The City West Hotel. Any cyclists willing to tag along would be more than welcome, provided you wear blue and gold!
Perhaps Dublin based Tipp cyclists might like to meet our group somewhere along the way.
From a cycling point of view this will be a leisurely jaunt, averaging approx 25 - 26km per hour for the trip. We will have food stops in Mountrath and Kildare (bring a few euro) and the plan is to reach our destination between 3 and 3.30. Approx timing:
