Áras Folláin in association with Nenagh.ie are to hold a fundraiser on Wednesday, June 18th in the form of a cookery demonstration with Nenagh native and Celebrity Chef Stuart O’Keeffe.
The event will take place at The Abbey Court Hotel and promises to be a great evening with a drinks reception, food village and of course the main event – Stuart cooking up a storm.
The event is aiming to raise much needed funds for Áras Folláin in Tyone. Áras Folláin was founded in 2005 and promotes wellness and recovery for people who have experienced mental health difficulties or those who are at risk of mental ill health through social isolation, family circumstances, relationships, financial circumstances, disability or unemployment. It is a community based centre and is open to all; it is run for total inclusion of all the wider community. The centre is run by a Steering Committee made up of representatives from all of the groups, the community and a representative from Mental Health Ireland. The centre also offers ongoing training courses, arts and crafts programmes and an information centre.
