Bagatelle, who first formed in 1978, are known for their popular pop hits such as ‘Second Violin’, “Leeson Street Lady” and ‘Summer in Dublin’, which has entered the Irish charts almost every summer since 1980.
Over the years they have had 6 number 1 singles in the Irish charts. ‘Flights of Earls’: written by Liam Reilly – was voted one of Irelands Top 10 “Best Ever Irish Emigrations Songs“. Liam also wrote ‘Streets of New York’ and ‘Somewhere in Europe’ the Irish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1990 coming second that year.
Bagatelle appeared on the ‘Self Aid’ concert in the mid 1980s along with U2 and Van Morrison. This is the bands farewell tour and a night not to be missed in Nenagh.
