The Wine Buff

The Wine Buff opened its doors in 2004 on Kickham Street, Nenagh and moved to larger premises on Cecil Walk, Kenyon Street five years ago. It is an independently owned and run wine shop which operates as a franchise. It specialises in wines from small independent growers. These producers do not mass produce and do not add chemicals to their product. These wines are exclusive to The Wine Buff in Ireland but exclusive does not have to mean expensive. In fact they are often described as “extraordinary wines at ordinary prices”.

Paddy O Flynn, one of the principals behind The Wine Buff, has been resident in the heart of the Bordeaux region for nearly 30 years and through his constant contacts with the regions wine producers imports top class wines for The Wine Buff shops which are located nationwide.

There are wine tasting evenings where customers can sample new wines and enjoy the homely and relaxed atmosphere of this outlet owned and run by Davy and Alexis Kelly, who go out of their way to make everyone feel at home and offer advice on wines for customer’s specific needs.
