Lough Derg measures 13,400 hectares (32,000 acres) in area.
The garden trail can be accessed from the M8, the M7 and via the N65 from the M6.

North Tipperary Show
The 133rd Annual North Tipperary Show promises to be a great day out on Bank Holiday Monday 02 August 2010.
The Showgrounds are located on the Borrisokane Rd in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
Entry is free for children and €10 for adults.
The main attractions include cattle, sheep, poultry, horse and pony showing classes as well as show jumping.
There will also have displays throughout the day from local irish dancing and modern dancing schools, tae quan do and martial arts.
There will be a pet farm corner with some other attractions such as snakes, owls, hares, vultures, rabbits and hedgehogs for petting.
The donkey derby is always great fun and this year there will have a kosak rider display and for the daring among the crowd a bucking bronco challenge.
The display of vintage cars and tractors will be complimented by thrashing machines and a display of farm machinery.
Our dog show is always a favourite.

The Keeper Hill cycling tour is a one day tour with sign posts to the highest point in the Silvermines mountain range. The tour starts and finishes at the Tourist Office in Nenagh. The terrain is mainly lowland but the final climb to Keeper hill is tough and challenging.

Killmastulla River
The Kilmastulla River empties into the Shannon at Parteen. It is a drained river with very high banks in places. It holds moderate stocks of trout close to the headwaters and in a short stretch immediately upstream of the Nenagh-Limerick road.
