Lough Derg

Lough Derg

Lough Derg, a beautiful lake, is just ten kilometres north-west of Nenagh. The lake is bordered on the east by Tipperary and on the west by Clare. There are plenty of villages and harbours to visit which all offer excellent hostelries of varying types and the mountains rise up from the south of the lake offering spectacular views.

The Lough Derg Way is a sixty-four kilometre walking route which starts at the Tourist Office behind the Hunt Museum in Limerick City follows the River Shannon before ultimately arriving at Lough Derg - for more information please call +353 87 055 6465, email con@gleann.net or see The Lough Derg Way.
