NEW TIPPERARY LEAD SPONSOR
Tipperary GAA is delighted to announce that it has reached an agreement with Teneo, the world’s leading global CEO advisory firm to become its lead sponsor. The sponsorship takes effect from 1 January 2019 and incorporates the county’s hurling and football teams, from minors through to seniors.

Separate to the sponsorship commitment, Declan Kelly has agreed to establish and chair a Commercial Board that will support the ongoing strategic development of the Tipperary senior hurling team under Liam’s management.

SENIOR HURLING PANEL
In conjunction with the news of the new lead sponsor, the Tipperary senior hurling pre-season panel has been announced by manager Liam Sheedy as his side prepares for the 2019 campaign. It includes 12 of the U21 panel which secured the All-Ireland title in late August.
Proving too that hard work and success at club level doesn't go unnoticed, recent winner of the inaugural Tipp FM club hurler of the year Conor Hammersley (Clonoulty-Rossmore) is called up as are Toomevara duo Jason Ryan and Mark McCarthy.

MUNSTER CLUB FIXTURES
Lady luck deserted Tipperary clubs in Munster again last Sunday as we commiserate with them as they exit their respective championships. Ballylooby-Castlegrace lost out to Beaufort (Kerry) 5-16 to 1-9 in the AIB Munster GAA Football Junior Club Championship quarter-final and Moyne-Templetuohy also succumbed to defeat at the hands of Fermoy (Cork) in the AIB Munster GAA Football Intermediate Club Championship semi-final on a 2-6 to 0-8 score line.
Best wishes for this Saturday, November 17th, to Boherlahan-Dualla as they take on Cloughduv (Cork) in the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Junior Club Championship semi-final in Boherlahan at 1:30pm. The referee will be Mike Sexton (Limerick).
Semple Stadium will host the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Senior Club Championship final on Sunday next, November 18th, when Na Piarsaigh (Limerick) and Ballygunner (Waterford) meet at 2pm.

Commiserations also to Solohead in the Munster Junior B football competition organised by Knockaderry GAA as Ballinacurra (Cork) took the spoils in that quarter-final by 1-11 to 1-6.
REFEREE
Best wishes to Kevin Jordan (Thurles Gaels) and his officials as he takes charge of the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Intermediate Club Championship between Charleville (Cork) and Feakle (Clare) in the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday next.
CONVENTION DATES
The various convention dates have been set for yearend commencing the first week of December. On Wednesday December 5th, Coiste na nÓg an Chontae will be held in the Horse & Jockey Hotel. This is followed on Friday December 7th by the Friends of Tipperary Football AGM again in the Horse & Jockey Hotel at 7pm. Also on Friday December 7th the Mid Board Convention will be held in Clonmore. Then on Sunday December 9th there will be two divisional conventions, the West Board Convention takes place in Clonoulty-Rossmore GAA club rooms and the South Board Convention will be held in the GAA Centre Clonmel. On Monday December 10th the North Convention will be held in Ballycommon. Then on Wednesday December 12th the Co. Football Committee Convention will be held as last year in the Anner Hotel, Thurles. And finally on Monday December 17th the County Convention will be held in The Dome, Semple Stadium.
AWARD 1 COACHING COURSE
Tipperary GAA will offer an Award 1 Hurling course aimed at youth and adult hurling coaches, from under 14 up to senior level club coaches.
The course covers a number of key modules including: Technical Proficiency, Tactical Prowess, Team Play, Physical Fitness, Playing Facts, Psychological Focus and Communication
The focus of the course is the further development of the ‘How to Coach’ skills by placing the participant in situations that they will face as coaches, the organisation of games, skill development, activities to develop skill and activities to develop the various aspects of physical fitness.
By the end of this course participants will be able to:
Organise a programme of games and skill development activities appropriate to each participant's needs and abilities
Organise progressive activities (drills and games) to develop five key skills
Organise progressive activities to develop movement skills appropriate to Gaelic Games
Organise and manage players for an effective practice session through six "How to coach skills" including;
Build Rapport, Observe, Analyse, Explain, Provide Demonstration and Provide Positive Feedback to Players
The course philosophy is that Tipperary GAA is committed to implementing an integrated Coach Education Programme with a view to maximising participation, optimising playing standards and ensuring that players needs are catered for in a balanced way.
The dates for the course are 26th, 29th November, 3rd, 6th and 10th of December, from 7.30pm - 9.30pm each night in Dr. Morris Park.
The cost of the course is €50 per coach and to register your place on the course please e-mail kevin.halley.gda.tipperary@gaa.ie as soon as possible, as places will be limited.
An Award 1 Football coaching course will commence early in the New Year.
POST PRIMARY ACTION
It was a very good week for Tipperary schools in the second round fixtures of the Dr. Harty Cup Under 19A Hurling as all were successful last Wednesday. Both Nenagh CBS and Our Lady's Secondary School needed wins to keep their prospects alive and both duly delivered.
In Group A, Nenagh CBS accounted for Ardscoil Ris 2-23 to 3-12 producing an excellent performance to get the show back on the road. Moving to Group C, Our Lady's Secondary School, Templemore also secured the win required as they saw off the challenge of Blackwater Community School, Lismore 2-20 to 2-8. Lastly to Group D, where Thurles CBS made their debut in the competition this year and easily accounted for Castletroy College 2-22 to 0-6.
Both Nenagh CBS and Thurles CBS will be back in action on Wednesday November 21st, when the final league round take place. Our Lady's have both of their games played and await the final round result to determine their fate in this Group of 3.
Thurles CBS capped off a fine week for this hurling nursery as they made it back to back titles in the Dean Ryan Cup (Under 16.5 A Hurling) final following their 1-9 to 0-7 defeat of De La Salle last Friday. This is the 14th success at the grade for Thurles CBS.

ANNUAL GAA MEMORABILIA FAIR IN THURLES
Lár na Páirce, the GAA Museum in Thurles, will hold a GAA Memorabilia Fair in Thurles Sarsfields Social Centre, (beside Semple Stadium) on Sunday week, November 25th from 12pm to 4.00pm.
This is the 4th annual G.A.A. Memorabilia Fair and will give you a chance to browse and search a large selection of match programmes, club histories, hurling, football, camogie and handball publications as well as other G.A.A. material in the pleasant and spacious surroundings of the Thurles Sarsfields G.A.A. Centre, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Collectors and sellers are cordially invited to attend this event, where it is hoped they will find plenty of material to interest them.
Stands will be available for renting and anybody so interested should contact the organisers before November 20th.
Admission will be €3 with accompanied children free. The venue will have disabled access, bar facilities and teas and coffees. It is located within a five minute walk from Thurles Railway Station.

NORTH TIPPERARY GAA PRIMARY SCHOOL QUIZ
The North Tipperary Primary Schools Quiz will be held in Kilruane MacDonaghs Cloughjordan on Sunday 25th November commencing at 6pm. Each team to consist of 4 members and schools may enter as many teams as they wish. The cost per team is €10. The quiz will be generally based on GAA events of the past 12 months and will include questions on hurling, football, ladies Gaelic football, camogie and rounders. SYMPATHY
On behalf of Tipperary GAA we express our deepest sympathy to the family of the late Rory Flannery (Nenagh Eire Óg) who passed away last weekend.
One of the great club servants, Rory held various administrative positions in the Nenagh Éire Óg club at juvenile and adult level. From his roles as one of the founding members of the club lotto and one of the key men involved in the formation of the Nenagh Éire Óg juvenile club in the early 1980s. Rory served as adult Club Chairman from 1999 to 2003. More recently, he represented the club at County Board level. One of the club’s greatest supporters, Rory hardly ever missed a club or county game of any kind.
