Things To Do In & Around Nenagh This Weekend

Nenagh Country Market 

For a real taste of home baking visit Nenagh Country Market which takes place in the New Institute, Friar Street each Friday morning from 8.00am to 1.30pm. Locally produced goods include tarts, cakes, buns, fruit cakes, cheese cakes, lasagnes, quiches, breads, jams & chutneys, free range eggs, chickens and ducks. A wide range of locally grown potatoes and vegetables are also available.

Tipperary Integration Forum Meeting

This meeting is a networking opportunity for people from other countries and cultures to meet agencies such as the NTLP, ETB, Tipperary County Council, the HSE, Citizens’ Information, the Gardaí, SIPTU and also people working in education, with youth or in the community. As a part of the meeting there will be a discussion on the current issues for migrant groups. We hope to share challenges related to living and working with this diverse population and come up with possible actions and solutions. Your attendance, input and advice would be highly appreciated. Don’t be afraid of your English – we’ll have Polish, Lithuanian, Russian and possibly Hungarian, Czech, Slovakian and Moldovan interpreters there to help. All are welcome. Refreshment served.

Town Hall Cinema Presents Cinderella

Cinderella, treated as a slave by her selfish stepfamily, dreams of going to the Prince’s ball. She gets her wish courtesy of her Fairy Godmother, who does the requisite changing a pumpkin-into-a-coach, then delivers a dire “be home by midnight” warning to our heroine.

Lost slippers, true love and wonderful animation feature in this classic Disney retelling of the Perrault story. This film will be shown in Nenagh Arts Centre on Saturday 24th January at 3.00pm. Tickets - €5

Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Presents Munster Fleadh

In anticipation of the upcoming Munster Fleadh to be held in Nenagh this Summer, Comhaltas presents a concert that will whet the appetite of traditional music, song and dance lovers across Tipperary. Included in the event are Ceoltoiri na Sionainne - 30 musicians, singers and dancers from all corners of Munster and Óige Thiobraid Árann - all Winners at Tipperary County Fleadh Cheoil under the leadership of Clare Quinn. Date: Saturday 24th January at 8.00pm in Nenagh Arts Centre. Tickets: €10.
