Garrykennedy 10K Fun Run/Walk 2014
The Garrykennedy 10K Fun Run/Walk will take place on Sunday 23rd November at 1.00pm. It is open to all walkers, joggers and runners, so whether you are an elite athlete or a Sunday stroller, this is the event for you. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd man and woman home. The first man home will receive the Jimmy Duggan Perpetual Trophy (kindly donated by Duggan Brothers, Templemore) and the first woman home will receive the Tony and Breda Gleeson Perpetual Trophy (kindly donated by the Gleeson Family, Portroe).
The event will be free of charge, but we would ask that you make a donation to the school on the day or alternatively, you can take a sponsorship card which will shortly be available from Scoil Mhuire and raise funds in this way. This event has proved to be a huge success in previous years, so please come along and support your local primary school and join in the fun. Walsh’s of Nenagh U21 Hurling Championship
Nenagh Éire Óg will play Kilruane MacDonagh’s in the Walsh’s of Nenagh North Tipperary U21 A Hurling Championship semi final on Sunday 23rd November at 2.00pm in Dolla.
The two U21 B semi finals are also being held on Sunday at 2.00pm. Borris-Ileigh will play Lorrha in Cloughjordan while Newport Gaels take on Ballina in Templederry.
Zumbathon Charity Event for Billy Goulding Fund
There will be a Zumbathon Charity Event in Aid of Billy Goulding in the Scouts Hall on Sunday 23rd November from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. Two year old Billy is being treated in Temple Street Children’s Hospital after a reaction to a virus that left him paralysed. Also on the day there will be Zumba Kids and Face Painting, Raffle @ €2 per ticket and Homemade Cakes and Muffins @ €1 each. Tickets €10 per person (children under 12 years old FREE). So why not join Aleksandra and guest instructors for a great afternoon’s entertainment and support this worthy cause.
