Nenagh is currently part of an artist led project, SWITCH. Founded in 2007, switch promotes and shows contemporary video art in a public context. Switch is an artist led project initiated and run by Triona Ryan and Harald Turek and has a partnership with the local North Tipperary Arts Office & North Down Borough Council. Switch shows 8 video art works in 8 vacant spaces in the town centre.
Art works are selected from ‘open submission’ to a theme. In 2008 ‘inside-out’ In 2009 ‘playfulness’ In 2010 ‘ the scale of things’.
