Notice of Appreciation

A Notice of Appreciation:

During the holiday season, things are hectic for everyone. There is just so much to do. Our Nenagh merchants and businesses are particularly busy as they prepare their shops for our delight and ease of shopping as well as taking the time to be with their families -- though sometimes it must feel like they have to steal away time to be with their loved ones.

In Nenagh there are many events organized this month. None of them would have been able to come to fruition if it weren't for these very busy shop keepers and members of the community who volunteered their time to plan, organize, and oversee every step in the process.

A simple thing like turning on the Christmas lights turns out not to be so simple; one must organize the 2 bands, have a switch box made for a community member to turn on the lights, plan how Santa will arrive, find a Santa, advertise in various media, organize toys to be given to the children, locate an MC and a sound system, consider crowd control, inflate 300 balloons, and keep the helper elves on their toes -- among other things. The same is true for the time it takes to organize all the other events such as: the free Nenagh Polar Express train rides in town, the Post Box to Santa, the Carey Glass Window Contest, the free Pop Up Gift wrapping station, the Outdoor Market, Mrs. Santa reading to the children at Easons, and the Shop Local/Win Big competition.

We wish to acknowledge these wonderful people, many of whom are just as happy to help without any recognition whatsoever, so that you know the generosity that surrounds us in Nenagh and how many people it takes to pull it all off (see the over 50 volunteers below).

With our most sincere appreciation for all the time, dedication, and commitment to the Nenagh community, we wish to thank:
