Members please note the following upcoming walks:
Tuesday August 30th, the club will finish their season of Tuesday evening visit to the hills with a hike on the Silvermines Mountains. The Silvermines Mountains are a special area of conversation and several counties can be seen from the mountains on a fine evening. Contact for this walk is Paddy and Mary.
With the Tuesday and Thursday evening hikes coming to an end for the Summer, anyone thinking of taking up hill-walking as a hobby, you are more than welcome to join us on Tuesday evenings 7.30 Tesco Carpark to walk the by-pass for the dark evenings and Winter months. Our weekend away to Cahersiveen is next up on the agenda 9/10/11th September contact Margaret 087 2369564 for details of this weekend.
Further upcoming walks for the diary are a trip to south Tipp to do the Galtees and a challenging 'A' walk taking in the Silvermines and Keeper over a 6 hour period.
The club hosts a variety of walks throughout the year to suit all level of fitness from the beginner to the experienced walker.
Watch out for some Sunday 'C' walks which will be posted on the webpage.
Non-members are welcome to do 3 walks before joining the club. Membership is €45 which includes membership of Mountaineering Ireland. Please refer to our web page under nenaghwalk.ie and facebook page for further details on upcoming walks.
