Members please note the following upcoming walks:
Thursday July 28th 'C' walk meeting at Nenagh College at 7 to do Gortygarry loop. This is a relatively new loop and well worth the visit, suitable for all level of fitness. Contact Maura at 086 8360621.
Tuesday August 2nd, leaving Spar Shop Portroe at 7pm to do Moylussa, the highest point in Co. Clare, part of the Slieve Bernagh range standing at 532m with spectacular views of Lough Derg which the walkers never tire of. Contact Paddy 086 8562444 or Mary 087 9735164.
The next Sunday walk will take place August 7th leaving Kenyon Street carpark at 10am. Note earlier departure time to do Slieve Reagh in the Ballyhouras, a 4 hour approx walk, 464m in height with fine views of the Galtees. Contact Paddy 086 8562444.
Other Sunday walks to look forward to are the Black Rock loop down in the Ballyhouras and our trip to Kerry in September.
The club hosts a variety of walks throughout the year to suit all level of fitness from the beginner to the experienced walker. Watch out for some Sunday 'C' walks which will be posted on the webpage.
Non-members are welcome to do 3 walks before joining the club. Membership is €45 which includes membership of Mountaineering Ireland.
